Profile of Guangdong International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector

Under the direct guidance of GUANGDONG FEDERATION OF INDUSTRY & COMMERCE, Guangdong International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (or GICCPS), established in 2012, is a large-scale provincial social organization and international chamber of commerce which specializes in serving private enterprises for "going out" and "bringing in" and carries out international economic cooperation and exchange.

GICCPS, since its establishment, has carried out the spirit of the 19th and 20th National Congresses of CPC, by uniting and leading the majority of private economic people with the same mind and the same direction in the same boat to struggle for the realization of the common ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics. GICCPS currently has more than 10,000 individual and group members which mainly root in Guangdong, covering fields and industries such as carbon reduction economy, digital economy, energy and chemical industry, real estate, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, trade and logistics, smart transportation, equity investment, cultural media, etc. Over the years, GICCPS has insisted on rallying the power of the private economy, by guiding private economic people to practice new development concepts and actively participating in supply-side structural reforms, to promote the high-quality development of the private economy, and to contribute to the construction of a modern national economic system. By virtue of a strong capability to graft and integrate international resources, GICCPS, with forward-looking vision to layout the world, has established regular liaisons with more than 60 foreign consulates in Guangzhou, and it, in an open and win-win manner, has made extensive contacts with more than 100 international business associations and international enterprises all over the world. GICCPS has set up liaison offices in multiple countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, and Cambodia, with a International cigar cultural exchange promotion committee and a commercial mediation committee set up. Now a time, GICCPS have 15 professional committees of including International Infrastructure, Investment Promotion,Modern Logistics, Greater Health, Investment-To-Africa,Sci-Technology Innovation, Digital Economy,Global Culture-tourism, Legal etc. Totally, GICCPS Gives full play to the role of bridge and link in the construction of "Belt and Road Initiative", and builds a broad platform for Chinese enterprises on the development road of "New Silk Road" in the 21st century.

GICCPS consistently adheres to the spirit of the new Guangdong businessmen, characterized by openness, inclusiveness and global benefit, actively fulfills social responsibilities by participating in social charity activities such as targeted poverty alleviation, anti-epidemic support and disaster relief, fully showing mission and responsibility. GICCPS has been rated as "Advanced Chamber of Commerce in Fighting against the COVID-19 Epidemic" by All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and GUANGDONG FEDERATION OF INDUSTRY & COMMERCE, it has also been rated as "Merit Chambers of Commerce" by All-China Federation of Industry in 2023 and by GUANGDONG FEDERATION OF INDUSTRY & COMMERCE for four consecutive years. Many GICCPS member enterprises have won the "Golden Cup" award of Guangdong Cotton Cup for Poverty Alleviation.
